My name is Nora Gilchrist (a.k.a. Ms. G.) and I am a visual arts educator. Welcome to my online teaching portfolio!
I was recently awarded an M.Ed. in Teaching Visual Arts (grades 5-12) from Lesley University in Cambridge, MA. This past winter and spring, I completed my student teaching practicum at a local high school in a small working-class city located just outside of Boston, MA. My semester teaching ceramics and sculpture was one of the most amazing, albeit challenging, experiences of my life. I learned more about teaching, art, and myself than I possibly could have imagined. The most important thing from this experience that I learned is that I truly LOVE teaching art.
This online portfolio contains my teaching philosophy, photographs from my teaching experiences, examples of my lesson plans, some of my academic work, and examples of my own artwork.
